Wedding photography is more than a series of individual photographs. It involves telling a story – documenting your day from start to finish. Photographs made before the ceremony are some of the most important of the day. Everyone is excited, even nervous. All of the details are being taken care of. The bride and her bridesmaids are getting hair and makeup done. The guys are trying to figure out studs and ties that come with their tuxedos. The florist has brought the flowers and the musicians are practicing. Having photographs of these preparations, details of the gown, the rings and other items will give you a necessary beginning to your wedding story in pictures.
If time permits we will also try to photograph posed groupings of the bride and bridesmaids, groom and groomsmen and families. Most brides do not want the groom to see them before the ceremony and we respect that. However, a first look session is something to consider. With this, the bride and groom are brought together for a quiet, intimate rendezvous before the ceremony. We photograph this first look and resulting hugs and kisses and then allow the couple a period of privacy.
